Hayley is one of my very good friends sister. So i wanted to achieve a little bit of art within this shoot. Being Hayley's first time pregnant, it may have been a little daunting for her as this shoot was nothing like she had ever done!
We started of with some simple elegant shots using some natural lighting.
I really enjoyed the time spent in the studio with Hayley & creating these special memories for her & hubby Scott.
There was one image that i really wanted to try & get that i had in my head- kind of like a special wall art piece.
I spent a little bit perfecting this image, and we wanted something to utalise for when Mason arrived, with a neutral tone- so we opted for a brown wrap.
After we had a little play, and then some, and a few hours in photoshop I ended up with the beautiful art peice!
Which is by far one of my favourite maternity images to date!
After the birth of their beautiful baby boy Mason, the studio was prepped and ready to go!
(It was a chilly day, so we had the studio at about 30 degrees, so needless to say it was hot, hot, hot! But perfect temperature for Mason to be comfortable naked.)
Scott is a mechanic and we wanted to include his hands in a portrait to give the difference of beautiful baby skin & the texture of hands that being a mechanic creates!
Hayley & Scott really wanted something to match something similar to the beautiful art piece that we created for the pregnancy image.
Here it is:
I adore the colouring & enjoy seeing little Mason holding onto Daddy's (Scott) hands.
After a little getting used to the session (Hayley had to get him milk drunk some more & find the dummy!) Also there was a few accidents on Scott's hands..... i might leave that to your imagination at what he caught!
After the wipe & cleanup, it was time to created some more images, neutral & timeless.
